IBKR Reconciliation

If you use Interactive Brokers, FinPal can check its own numbers against your broker’s official Flex Query statement — cash, positions, and the full walk from your starting to ending balance — so you’re not just trusting FinPal’s math, you can verify it.

This feature is in beta.

  • Cash — does FinPal’s cash balance match what IBKR reports?
  • Positions — do your holdings and quantities match?
  • The balance walk — does the path from your starting balance to your ending balance (trades, fees, dividends, transfers) match what your broker recorded?

If FinPal’s numbers and your broker’s statement don’t match, the reconciliation view shows exactly where the difference is and what’s likely causing it — rather than just flagging that “something is off.”

Reconciliation is driven by an IBKR Flex Query statement, which you generate from your Interactive Brokers account and provide to FinPal for comparison. This is separate from the regular CSV import used to build your transaction history in the first place — see Statement Import.

A fully connected sync (rather than a one-time comparison) is on the roadmap — see the FAQ for what’s planned versus available today.
