Statement Import
Instead of typing in every trade by hand, you can export a statement from your broker and upload it — FinPal reads the trades, dividends, and fees and turns them into transactions for you.
Supported brokers
Section titled “Supported brokers”Interactive Brokers and Moomoo statements are recognized automatically. If your broker isn’t recognized yet, you can teach FinPal its format once using the Mapping Wizard — after that, every future file from the same broker imports automatically too.
How to import
Section titled “How to import”- Export a statement from your broker (usually a CSV or similar export from their website).
- From the Import section, upload the file.
- Review what FinPal found — every trade, dividend, and fee it detected is shown before anything is saved, along with anything it wasn’t sure about.
- Confirm the import. Your transactions, dividends, and portfolio value update immediately.
What if something looks wrong
Section titled “What if something looks wrong”Nothing from an import is saved silently — you always see a review step first. If something’s off after confirming, you can edit or remove any transaction afterward; imports don’t lock anything in place. You can also revisit your import history to see exactly what was imported and when.
Multiple files at once
Section titled “Multiple files at once”You can upload more than one statement in a single session — useful for backfilling several months, or several accounts, at once.
